Trading Rules & Safety
These rules keep trading on Vaultly safe. Breaking them can get your account suspended. They form part of the Terms of Service.
The golden rules
- Pay and get paid only through Vaultly. Escrow only protects orders placed and paid on this site. Anyone asking you to pay by another method or on another site is a scammer.
- Only deliver once an order shows “In escrow”. Sellers: never trust a screenshot of a payment.
- Only confirm once you've checked everything. Buyers: confirming releases the payment and can't be undone.
- Keep the conversation in the order chat. It's our evidence if something goes wrong.
- Staff never ask for your password and never message you first outside the site. Moderators only appear inside order chats and support tickets, marked with a “moderator” tag.
- Check the address bar. Make sure you are on the real Vaultly website before logging in.
Common scams to watch for
- Fake staff: someone claiming to be Vaultly support in a direct message, asking you to “verify” your account or pay a fee.
- “Confirm first”: a seller asking you to confirm delivery before you've received anything.
- Off-site deals: “it's cheaper if we skip the fees” — there's no protection at all outside the site.
- Overpayment refunds: a buyer claiming they sent too much and asking you to send the difference back to them directly.
- Phishing links: links to fake login pages or “trade verification” sites.
- Account recovery: a seller reclaiming an account after it was sold. Change every password and the recovery email straight away.
Prohibited items
You may not list or buy:
- stolen, hacked or phished accounts and items, or anything obtained through fraud or chargebacks;
- items created by duplication glitches or exploits;
- cheats, hacks, bots, exploits, or services that break a game's anti-cheat;
- gift cards or codes you did not purchase legitimately;
- personal data, other people's credentials, or anything not connected to a game;
- anything illegal where you or the other party live.
Photos
Listing photos are reviewed before anyone can see them. Show only what you're selling. Photos with nudity, violence, personal details, contact information, links or someone else's content are rejected.
Reviews
Leave honest reviews based on the order. Don't offer or demand anything in exchange for a review, and don't threaten a bad review to get something extra.
Respect
No harassment, threats, hate speech, sexual content or spam in chats, listings or usernames. Moderators may read any order chat to resolve disputes and enforce these rules.
A note on game publishers
Trading items or accounts for real money may be against a game's own rules, and publishers can act against accounts or items at any time. Vaultly is not affiliated with any game publisher. Please read the game's terms and decide for yourself.
Reporting a problem
Use Call moderator in any order chat, or open a support ticket. Include the order reference and screenshots where you can.
